Loved & Led: Finding Wisdom in God’s Word
Hey sweet friends!
Life can get super confusing sometimes, right? Between school, friendships, dreams, and even the pressures of figuring out who we are, it’s easy to feel like we don’t always know what to do next. I’ve been there. Honestly, I’m still there a lot. But here’s the amazing truth I keep coming back to: God doesn’t leave us to figure it all out alone. He offers us something priceless — His wisdom.
You might be wondering: What does “God’s wisdom” even mean? Or how do I know if I have it?
I’ve learned (and am still learning!) that God’s wisdom isn’t just about being “book smart” or always having the right answer. It’s about seeing life through His eyes — understanding what truly matters, loving people like He does, and making choices that honor Him even when it’s hard. James 1:5 says, “If any of you lacks wisdom, you should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to you.” How incredible is that? God doesn’t roll His eyes when we’re confused. He invites us to ask Him for wisdom — and promises to give it freely.
Here’s what that’s looked like in my life lately:
• When I didn’t know how to handle a friendship that was changing, I prayed and asked God to give me wisdom. He reminded me to be kind, to speak truth in love, and to trust Him with the outcome.
• When I felt pressure to make choices just to fit in, God gave me wisdom to stand firm in who He says I am, not who the world says I should be.
• When I doubted my own worth, His wisdom whispered that I am fearfully and wonderfully made (Psalm 139:14), no matter what mistakes I’ve made or how others treat me.
Here’s how you can start learning God’s wisdom in your everyday life:
1. Ask for it. Seriously — just ask. God loves when we come to Him with open hearts. Start your day with a simple prayer like, “God, give me Your wisdom today. Help me see things the way You do.”
2. Spend time in His Word. The Bible is full of God’s heart and His truth. The more we read it, the more we recognize His voice and His ways.
3. Surround yourself with wise people. Proverbs 13:20 says, “Walk with the wise and become wise.” Talk to mentors, friends, and leaders who point you to Jesus.
4. Trust His timing. Sometimes we want instant answers, but God’s wisdom often comes as we patiently trust Him step by step.If you’re anything like me, you won’t get it perfect all the time (and that’s okay!). But the good news is — we don’t have to lean on our own understanding. We get to lean on God’s love and guidance every single day. So today, let’s choose to be girls who seek His wisdom — girls whose hearts are rooted in truth, kindness, courage, and grace. That’s the kind of wisdom that doesn’t fade, and it’s exactly what God wants to give you.
You are so deeply loved, and God has amazing things ahead for you, friend.
