Surrendering Disappointment: Taking Back My Peace

Image
Hey friends,   Has there ever been a time when someone did something that made you seriously question if you could trust them? Have you ever been let down by someone you really looked up to, and felt like their mistake hurt even more because you trusted them to be different? It could be disappointment with a situation that didn’t turn out the way we hoped, or it could be disappointment with someone we trusted who let us down. Either way, it hurts. And let’s face it, no one likes feeling let down. “Hope deferred makes the heart sick, but a desire fulfilled is a tree of life.” (Proverbs 13:12) But here’s the thing: we are living in a world that can sometimes feel really dark, and as Christians, it’s easy to forget why we’re here. We are children of the one true Father, created to shine His light in a world that desperately needs it. That means even in the midst of disappointment, we have the power to reflect God’s light, even if we don’t feel like it. “You are the light of the ...

Embracing the Pickles of Life: A Journey of Faith and Surrender

Image
Hey there, lovely girls! Have you ever found yourself in a situation that completely took you by surprise—a “pickle” you never saw coming? Whether it’s a tough relationship, a sudden change in plans, or a challenge that feels way bigger than you, life has a funny way of throwing curveballs. Sometimes, it feels like you’re sailing smoothly through life, everything falling into place—good grades, a supportive family, a fun job, and a home that feels like a safe haven. But then, one day, you find yourself thinking, “How did I end up in this mess?” The truth is, sometimes those moments of ease can be just as tricky as the storms. When everything is going well, it’s easy to forget who gave us all those blessings in the first place. We get comfortable. We start relying on ourselves instead of God. Maybe we even begin to take our blessings for granted—good friends, opportunities, or that perfect family moment—and we think we’ve got it all figured out. But, if we’re not careful, those blessin...

Hey beautiful sisters in Christ! 🌸           Have you ever encountered someone who seems lost, caught in the darkness of the world, and just doesn’t know where to turn? Maybe they’re struggling with hurt, confusion, or the weight of their choices. As teen girls, we are surrounded by people who are trying to figure out their lives, and sometimes, it can feel like they’re walking through life in total darkness. But there’s something we need to remember: we are the light of the world, shining God’s love to others. The darkness in this world is real. People all around us are facing battles—whether it’s dealing with fear, addiction, low self-esteem, or feelings of loneliness. We all know what it feels like to be weighed down by life. And yet, in all of that darkness, we have the light of Jesus shining inside us. He is the hope that can break through any darkness, and it’s our job as His followers to reflect that light to those who need it most. In Matthew 5:14-...

The Verse of the Week: Mark 16:15 - Be a Witness and Speak the Truth

Image
Today’s verse reminds us of our calling as Christians:  “Go into all the world and preach the gospel to all creation.”  – Mark 16:15 (NIV). Jesus calls us to take action—sharing His love and truth wherever we go. This doesn’t require perfection, just a willingness to speak about the hope we have in Christ. Whether it’s through words, actions, or our personal testimony, we are called to reach everyone, everywhere. And as we share the gospel, we do so with love and humility, knowing that God's truth has the power to change lives. Let’s embrace this mission today and be bold in speaking the truth of God’s  Word!
