Surrendering Disappointment: Taking Back My Peace
Hey friends, Has there ever been a time when someone did something that made you seriously question if you could trust them? Have you ever been let down by someone you really looked up to, and felt like their mistake hurt even more because you trusted them to be different? It could be disappointment with a situation that didn’t turn out the way we hoped, or it could be disappointment with someone we trusted who let us down. Either way, it hurts. And let’s face it, no one likes feeling let down. “Hope deferred makes the heart sick, but a desire fulfilled is a tree of life.” (Proverbs 13:12) But here’s the thing: we are living in a world that can sometimes feel really dark, and as Christians, it’s easy to forget why we’re here. We are children of the one true Father, created to shine His light in a world that desperately needs it.
